At CeBIT 2001

From March 22-28, trade show organizer Deutsche Messe AG hosted the CeBIT 2001 information technology and telecommunications trade fair in Hanover, Germany. CeBIT set a record this year with more than 8,000 companies from 60 countries registering for 422,100 square meters of display space. In just 15 years since it broke away from the Hanover Fair to become a separate event, CeBIT has evolved into the world's leading showplace for information technology.

At CeBIT, visitors witnessed upcoming trends firsthand. This is where product innovations are unveiled and future markets are born! An unrivaled source of international information and a great place to make contacts, CeBIT offers the world's most comprehensive lineup of products and an incomparable market overview. Exhibition categories for the 2001 event included automatic data collection, bank technology, card technology/IT, design, engineering, information technology, Internet solutions, network computing, office automation, office technology, software, telecommunications, and more.

A major exhibitor at CeBIT 2001, Motorola confirmed its global vision and leadership in the realm of embedded electronic solutions—including mobile communications, semiconductors, telematics, automotive and industrial solutions, computer systems, telecommunications-carrier solutions, two-way-radio, broadband communications, multiservice networking, and smart card solutions.
